(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage C. T. American Art Colored postcard from the 1940s. It shows a view of the International Boundary Monument No. 1, marking the intersection of States of Texas, New Mexico and the Republic of Mexico, near El Paso, TX.

"Boundary Post No. 1. Erected by Boundary Commission to mark the spot where Texas, New Mexico and Old New Mexico meet. Within a stone's throw of the Rio Grande at a point where the river ceases to be the dividing line. Government was obliged to protect the monument against depredations of Souvenir hunters of erecting a tall iron fence."

"EL PASO, TEXAS- Apr. 29, 1941- Dear Buddy - I am having a very nice time. We are now in El Paso. We arrived here about 4 PM Tues. - Donald P.S. I will be home about Thurs. afternoon.", reads the message written on the back.

The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
