Lion House - Residence Built by Brigham Young - Salt Lake City, UT - Postcard, c. 1947
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Desert Book Company, C. T. Art-Colortone linen postcard from the 1940s. It show a view of the "Lion House", a residence built by Brigham Young in Salt Lake City, Utah.
"The Lion House, so names because of the stone monument of a Lion placed over the entrance. This old historic home was built in 1856 for Brigham Young and his family and was used by them until the time of his death. The home is now used as a social and cultural center under the management of the Young Women's Mutual Improvement Association of the "Mormon" Church", reads the description printed on the back.
The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, light wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
