(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Metropolitan linen postcard published by N. A. Meligakes in the 1940s. It shows a view of Major General Geo. G. Meade and Staff in 1863 Gettysburg, PA.

"AMERICA'S GREATEST BATTLEFIELD - GETTYSBURG is best known as the scene of the chief battle and crisis of the Civil War. The Battle of Gettysburg was fought between the Federal Army of the Potomac, commanded by General Meade and the Confederate Army of Virginia, commanded by General Leo.", reads the description printed on the back. 

The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
