North Gallery Stanley Field Hall - Chicago Natural History Museum - Postcard, c. 1950s
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage postcard from the 1950s. It shows a view of the North Gallery of Stanley Field Hall at the Chicago Natural History Museum, Formerly the Field Museum of Natural History. Figures by Henry Hering, sculptor, symbolize "Natural Science" and "Dissemination of Knowledge" to illustrate two of the aims and purposes of the Museum. "History Museum April 15, 1951", is written on the front.
The postcard is used and is in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, small piece of tape at right and left edges.
