(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Metropolitan, Paul Monroe Company postcard from the 1940s. It shows a chimp walking tightrope while smoking a pipe, "Performing Chimpanzee, Forest Park Zoo, St. Louis, Mo."
"PERFORMING CHIMPANZEE, FOREST PARK ZOO, ST. LOUIS, MO.- This chimpanzee is one of the many that perform daily to the great delight of countless visitors to this world-famous zoo in Forest Park.", reads the description printed on the back.
"Bear (Dear) Beryl. How are you getting along - Love Ralph", reads the note written on the back.
The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
