(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Southwest Post Card Co., Curteich linen postcard from the 1940s. It shows a southwestern landscape of petrified trees and wind erosion in the Petrified Forest of Arizona.
"PETRIFIED WOOD AND EROSIONS, PETRIFIED FOREST, ARIZONA- From the calculations of scientists, the trees of the Petrified Forest lay prostrate in polluted waters millions of years, causing them to become petrified. The logs were covered with silt and earth. With the passing centuries the winds and elements have caused many erosions as seen in the background.", reads the description printed on the back.
The postcard is unused and is in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges.
