Red River Pass - Red River, New Mexico - Postcard, c. 1940s
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage Southwest Post Card Co., J. R. Willis, C. T. Art-Colortone linen postcard from the 1940s. It shows a view of Red River Pass, Altitude 10,000 Ft., Red River, New Mexico.
"From the top of the Pass and at several points as you descend, the beauty and grandeur of the Rockies may be seen in several directions. The rapid descent of about 2,000 feet is made within 3 miles, and altho the road is perfectly safe, a great thrill is experienced by those unaccustomed to mountain trails as they negotiate the eight "switchbacks" easily seen in the view. The lower road leads to the upper Red River Valley and is also beautifully scenic.", reads the description printed on the back.
The postcard is unused and is in VERY GOOD condition, minor wear at the edges, a few minor stains.
