The Basket Hat - Postcard, c. 1909
(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique Jerome H. Remick & Co. postcard from 1909. It shows an Edwardian woman wearing an exaggerated hat. "THE BASKET HAT - Talk About The Merry Widow Style - This Hat Beats It By A Mile."
"Cal. This reminds me of "Billy Boy" in Lyons. Cal. don't get gay over those girls up on the hill- you better watch him Mae. Mae, Don't Get one like this. - Same two feet- I have not been hunting yet.", reads the note written on the front.
"Dear Cousins:- I have not written before as I have been going some since I've got home. Vinn wrote you a letter last night. Poor Mae, you certainly have had a hard time. Sorry we staid so long if it made you worse.", reads the message written on the back.
The postcard is used and is in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, creases at the corners.
