The World's Crookedest Street San Francisco California Postcard
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original vintage E. F. Clements, Security Lithograph Co. chrome postcard from the 1950s. It shows a view of "The World's Crookedest Street", Lombard Street in San Francisco, California.
"LOMBARD STREET, SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - The section of Lombard Street between Hyde and Leavenworth Streets, is often called "The World's Crookedest Street." On account of its steep grade, the street serpentines from curb to curb as it drops down the hill. At each side there are beds of flowering plants and shrubs which are in bloom for most of the year. The section of Lombard Street is a one-way street eastbound."
"Dear Ruth- Having a good time "up north." Had a nice visit with Carol and now back with Donald- saw so much lovely country you have seen too. Love- Nell.", reads the note written on the back.
The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at at the edges, blunted corner tips.
