Turkey and Chestnuts - Thanksgiving Greeting - E Nash - Postcard, c. 1910s
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is an original antique E. Nash postcard from the 1910s. It shows a turkey, a branch full of chestnuts and a blue toned windmill scene, "Thanksgiving Greetings".
"Dear Hattie - Received your welcome card. I went to Ann Arbor last week to have my throat operated on - I was to big a coward and flunked! I am going to Detroit to a Hospital and have it done. Did you get Emma - If you telephone for me I will come on the first train - we have the house phone. Gee the ___ are good.", reads the message written on the back.
The postcard is used and is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, album marks at corners, a few small stains.
