U.S. Capitol At Night- 1920s Antique Postcard- Washington, D.C.- B. S. Reynolds- Souvenir Postcard- Capitol Dome- Unused

$4.50

(3 1/2 x 5 1/2 In) This is an original antique B. S. Reynolds Co. postcard from the 1920s. It shows a night time view of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. I love the look of the reflection of the Capitol dome on the wet pavement.

"THE UNITED STATES CAPITOL- Set on a height overlooking the amphitheater of the Potomac, is one of the largest and stateliest buildings in the world. It is 751 feet in length and 350 feet in width, covering three and a half acres. The statue of Freedom on the dome towers 307 feet above the esplanade. The cornerstone was laid by President Washington in 1793; the central building was finished in 1797; and the extensions were first occupied by congress in 1857 and 1859.", reads the description printed on the back.

The postcard is unused and is in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges, lightly blunted corner tips.
