United States Supreme Court - Washington, DC - SET of 2 - Postcards, c. 1940s
(5 1/2 x 3 1/2 In) This is a SET of TWO original vintage Scenic Art Series, B. S. Reynolds Co. postcards from the 1940s. They each show a view Interior and Exterior of the Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C.
"SUPREME COURT BUILDING - The Supreme Court Building, on Capitol Hill, is a superb edifice of glowing white marble, in design and proportions comporting with its dignity as the home of the Supreme Court of the United States. The west facade is here shown, with the broad stairway leading up to the portico with its imposing Corinthian Columns and sculpted pediment. The inscribed dedication reads: "Equal Justice Under The Law", The cost of the structure was $11,000,000."
The postcards are both unused and in EXCELLENT condition, light wear at the edges, blunted corner tips.
