(6 3/8 x 5 3/8 In) and (8 1/2 x 6 1/2 In) This is a SET of TWO original antique cabinet photographs from 1900. They show partially collapsed factory building from both the upper and lower floors, the upper floor caved into the lower part of the building tumbling heavy looking beams, shelves, boxes and equipment into a heaping mess. Men can be seen staring at the damage and starting to clear the debris. "Lock Co. Clinton, IA - 1900" is written on the back. I was hoping this would be enough to identify the factory but I can't find enough information for anything other than a guess that this might be a part of the Clinton Lock Company which was founded in 1896. I don't think this was caused by a natural disaster. It looks to me like an engineering disaster, like there was some sort of structural failure.

The photographs are in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, blunted corner tips, minor general stains.
