George Washington's Ghost - Tomb at Mount Vernon, VA - Art CDV, c. 1800s
(2 1/2 x 3 5/8 In) This is an original antique art carte de visite from the 1800s. It shows an artistic rendering of George Washington's Ghost silhouetted by a pair of trees on the grounds of his home and tomb at Mount Vernon, Virginia. George's spirit has been rumored to haunt his former home pretty much since he passed in 1799. His ghost was even supposed to have appeared and come to the rescue of Union soldiers at more than one battle during the Civil War.
The photo is in GOOD condition, wear at the edges, missing upper right corner, trimmed bottom edge, general stains and scratches.
