Mrs. F. Q. Ball - Chicago League Women's Club - Cabinet Photo, c. 1890s
(4 1/4 x 6 1/2 In) This is an original antique cabinet photograph from the 1890s. It shows a portrait of a Victorian woman in a polka-dot dress, wearing an unusual hair comb at the top of her head. She is identified in writing on the back as, "Mrs. F. Q. Ball". According to the May 8th, 1898 Chicago Tribune, Mrs. F. Q. Ball was elected to the Board of Directors for the Chicago League, Women's Club Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. The portrait was taken by at Steffen's Photo, 57-22nd St., Chicago.
The photo is in VERY GOOD condition, wear at the edges, a few minor stains.
